I'm really enthralled about the photograph by Tierney Gearon. This image pretty much says everything: the naevity of youth & the mind-lost elderly... The light shining perfectly on the sagged breasts and blue-green color makes one feel low-low.
The photograph by Alissa Everett is striking. The simplicity of it, with the minimal background information, really allows the viewer to focus on the subject. The eyes of this person are haunting in the way they stare out at the camera.
I was drawn to the Richard Avedon piece but the more I look at it the more I can't decide if I actually like it. The different layers and textures that are created by all of the hands are really nice; but it lacks a strong enough narrative for my liking. It catches my eye but does not really keep it.
