When thinking on who I would choose for this assignment I knew I would be selecting one of the great Pulitzer Prize winning photographers that I saw in the Newseum, located in Washington DC. After looking through all the amazing photographs, I chose a series of photos that won in 2001 by Matt Rainey. Matt documented the care and recovery of two students burned in a dormitory fire at Seton Hall University. Following these two victims throughout their recovery is what really moved me about this series. All the emotions felt by the victims and their families must have transferred through the photos to the photographer.
