I was very surprised to read that Kelly Fitzgerald is a contemporary photographer. I initially associated the image with Ansel Adams, and assumed the work came from a similar time period.
I love the photo you posted by Kelly Fitzgerald. It is so sharp and the contrast is just about perfect. I love the way it seems so surreal and almost creepy. The contrast between the old falling down buildings and the idealistic landscape is striking.
