The photograph by Bruce Davidson leaves me with many questions. If it is candid documentation of an actual event it seems like it could have only been captured by incredible luck, and it is hard to imagine that the man with the gun would have allowed himself to be photographed. This leaves me wanting to know what happened in the moments after the picture was taken (to both the victim and the photographer)
This whole set really jumps out at me because of the danger theme of all the photos. To be a photographer in dangerous situations such as these, is a true test of ones photographic skills. The journey to produce these photos is just as amazing as the final photos themselves.
These are amazing photographs. I agree with Chris, they all seem to deal with social suppression and/or illegal activities. Whether they are journalistic or set up, these photographs speak volumes. I want to find out more about these stories.
